The standard duration of the medicine program is 6 years. However, under specific circumstances and recognition of prior higher education studies, admission into the second or third year of the program is feasible.

There are two dormitory buildings available, with one having 7 floors and the other having 8 floors. These buildings are located at 26 Medykow Street and 24 Medykow Street, respectively. Each room comes with internet access and offers the following housing arrangements:

- A single room with a standard bathroom is priced at approximately £200 per month.
- A single room with a lower standard bathroom is priced at around £150 per month.

​

Living expenses range from £300 to £350 per month, depending on your individual spending habits, excluding rent.

​

If you prefer renting an apartment over living in a dormitory, you can expect to pay about £300 to £350 for a one-bedroom flat, depending on its location.

Typically, at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, the academic year is divided into two semesters:
